Paul Fischer Spruce Brazilian Rosewood 650
Paul Fischer should need little introduction as he has produced world class guitars, both for David Rubio as outlined in Paul's autobiography 'Against the Grain,' and subsequently under his own name. in addition he has inspired other luthiers such as Christopher Dean who have gone on to be world class in their own right. Paul's guitars are owned and played by some of the leading artists in the world.
This guitar is in superb condition and is a fine example of Paul's work. Built in 2007 it is one of his Premier series which have the finest woods and most intricate inlays. It has a virtually unmarked Spruce top and finely figured Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with a CITES certificate. Its silver Rodgers tuning machines were hand engraved in Hatton Garden and the guitar features some very fine inlay work. Paul was experimenting with the bracing design and the guitar is an example of his Taut system, which effectively was the forerunner of the lattice design. The result is a guitar which has a slightly brighter sound than the more rounded one of the traditional fan brace and a little more volume and projection. The string height is set at those for a standard concert guitar and this is an instrument suiting the most demanding amateur or professional player.
