Mengual y Margarit Cedar, Indian Rosewood

Alhambra took the decision to extend their production range which finishes with the 11P into the professional range and engaged the highly experienced luthiers Javier Mengual and Jose Margarit to build them in a small dedicated workshop. 

The guitar has dimensions of 640mm scale length and 52mm nut width.  it has the standard body dimensions for a classical guitar.  Indian Rosewood back and sides are topped with a fine grained Cedar soundboard and completed with an Ebony fretboard.  The guitar is very well built and its heavier feel contributes to a solid feeling of contact with the guitar when playing.  The sound is typically Spanish.  It is in very good condition for its age, being new in 2014, with receipt from the Spanish Guitar Centre in Nottingham, Trading as Guitarnotes.  It has an interesting history having been owned by Richard Brown, stage name Ricky Fenson, a British rock bass guitarist who was in the original line up of the Rolling Stones.  The documentation supports this provenance.
