M Tezanos Perez Maestro 650 Spruce CSA Rosewood

The label name actually stands for Miguel Angel, Mariano Tezanos and Teodoro Perez.  Miguel sourced and supplied the finest woods to the other two luthiers.  Both Tezanos and Perez worked for more than twenty years in the Ramirez workshops before they worked together to become the most notable guitar making duo in Spain.  Tezanos has since set up independently with his son and daughter.  At the time of working together the Maestro model was their top of the line.  Since their parting, Tezanos now markets the Maestro as the middle of his range with his addition of a more decorated model.

Overall the guitar is in very good condition, given it was made in 2000,  with only a few signs of play wear and slight changes to the finish in a couple of small areas, none of which affects the sound.  The top is Spruce and the back and sides CSA Rosewood.  Scale length and nut width are standard at 650mm and 52mm and the 12th fret sting heights are 3.8mm and 3.4mm for the low and high E strings.  The quality of the sound is well balanced with very good clarity and projection as one would expect from a guitar with the big Madrid style sound.  An outstanding guitar at this price point.
